
Orientation and Training
When the new employee arrives for their first day of work, you'll need to orient them to the workplace and get them started in their new position.
First, introduce a new employee to their supervisor and co-workers, and have them complete the necessary paperwork, including the W-4 form and the I-9 form. Next, offer the employee a formal or semi-formal orientation session. If you're hiring a number of people simultaneously, you can invite all new employees to attend one or two orientation sessions.
