Hours: Half-time (20 hours per week), 10/12-month (work 10 months with pay and benefits over 12 months)

Summary: The Technician assists in the operation of stockrooms in the department; prepares solutions for chemistry courses with technical advice; assists in the maintenance of inventory records of supplies and equipment; assists in ordering chemicals and equipment; etc.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in chemistry or in a closely-related field, with 16 semester units in courses involving extensive use of materials, supplies, or equipment, OR two years experience in the management of a science-oriented supplies inventory, with experience related to chemicals and equipment preferred. Applicant must pass a Safety Examination and must be knowledgeable in current chemical labeling and disposal practices.

The Grassroots Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Move to Amend affiliate volunteers working at the local and state levels to advance the democracy movement to end corporate rule.
