Bilingual Client Advocate

North Coast Rape Crisis Team

Fulltime, $18.00 an hour

Job Description: Fluent in Spanish and English, provides on call crisis services by phone and in person including crisis intervention, follow up, referrals, advocacy and accompaniment to clients going to law enforcement, hospitals, court proceedings and other agencies as needed. Share 24 hour 7 day coverage of crisis line with other team members, attend multidisciplinary task force meetings. Answer phones, keep records, assist with data collection, maintain stock of forms for office and distribution of literature to the public, attend staff and case management meetings. Maintain positive, equitable and professional relationships with others, perform other tasks as directed by supervisor, must be able to work full time and have flexibility in overtime hours, have good listening and communication skills. Counseling experience desirable. Must have have ability to remain calm, act clearly, knowledgeably and assertively in a crisis situation, must have valid drivers license and unlimited access to an insured, reliable vehicle. Must be able to attain appropriate clearance of a background check. Commitment to the empowerment of people and unlearning oppression, must have computer experience. Must successfully complete certified Rape Crisis training provided after hire. Help make these crucial services accessible to those in need. Multicultural experience highly desired.

Bank Teller

Tri Counties Bank

The Teller is responsible for promoting and referring/selling all bank products and services to new and existing customers at the teller line and through telemarketing. Handles customer service transactions, such as receiving and disbursing funds, posting deposits and withdrawing funds. Provides information and assistance in researching customer problems, balances a cash drawer daily and answers customer inquiries.


  • Probes for customer financial needs and recommends bank products and services.
  • Refers retail loan and deposit products.
  • Meets referral goals as assigned.
  • Provides prompt, efficient and friendly service to Bank customers ensuring that all customer transactions are handled timely and accurately according to guidelines.
  • Ensures that cash and security procedures are followed accounting for assigned cash.
  • Balances cash drawer and maintains drawer within limits.
  • Completes necessary documentation and data entry.
  • Processes all deposit and loan transactions.
  • Makes outbound calls to new and existing customers to maintain contact and satisfy servicing needs.

Other Responsibilities

  • Assists other branch team members in non-primary assigned duties when necessary.
  • Assists in training branch team members on product knowledge and skill development when necessary.
  • Performs monthly certifications when necessary.
  • Assists in processing ATM (including balancing) and night drop.
  • Maintains a current understanding of Bank policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a current understanding of and complies with regulations that include but are not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, suspicious activity reporting, CIP, Reg DD/Truth in Savings, Expedited Funds Availability Act, and Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Other Required Skills 

  • High school diploma or GED required, unless age 18.
  • Effective selling and cross-selling skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize personal computers and Windows based programs.
  • Able to successfully complete Bank's product and sales training courses.

Healthcare Specialist

Lincare in Eureka, CA

$26 an hour, fulltime.  

Performs equipment set-ups in timely and professional manner.  Generally responsible for the set-up of highly technical equipment such as ventilator, monitors, and CPAP units.  Incumbent may perform set-up of all types of oxygen equipment as well.  Provides patient education as an intricate part of the patient care activity according to the patient need and Lincare policy, frequently in patients home.  Performs complete and professional patient assessments.  Maintains current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and relevant respiratory therapy concepts.  Follows applicable policies and procedures of the Safety & Regulatory Manual regarding General Safety, OSHA (includes the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment), DOT (driving safety), FDA and Emergency Planning.  Represents Lincare through professional personal appearance, patient care activities and content of written reports.  Facilitates prescription collection.  Maintains patient records in complete and organized manner in compliance with accreditation standards.  Work on-call evenings and weekends on an as scheduled basis.  Frequency is determined by the center size and the number of employees available to share the responsibility.  Must respond in a timely manner.
