Learn the critical skills to help manage an organization’s financial record. Bookkeepers update and maintain accounting records, including those which tabulate expenditures, receipts, accounts payable and receivable and profit and loss. Clerks perform numerous computations each day and must be comfortable using computers to calculate and record data. They verity and enter information, balance the books, compile reports and financial statements, receive, record, bank and pay out cash, and may calculate employee wages from records or time cards to issue payroll checks. Click here for more information.
These trainings will be open to the public, at varying costs. The Humboldt County Department of Health & Human Services' Employment & Training Division (ETD) is offering a limited number of full scholarships for these trainings to individuals who qualify under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA). The WIA funds are allocated for low income adults and dislocated workers. Meet with a Vocational Counselor to discuss training, some information is here.
You need to register for these trainings directly with College of the Redwoods at (707) 269-4000. A copy of the CR registration form, may be downloaded here. Class registration is required before scholarships are granted.
